Mechatronics Engineering is concerned with integrating mechanical engineering, electronics, computer, and control engineering. It aims at designing and developing devices, machines, and tools that feature accuracy and distinguished performance. This includes but not limited to those intelligent devices and machines that rely on a sort of an actuating electrical motor, transducers and sensors for measurement and monitoring, microcontrollers or computers for control, microcontrollers and computers for control, and electrical and electronic components and circuits for interfacing and integration.

  1. Graduating qualified and skillful engineers with profound knowledge of concurrent design methodologies that deal with multidisciplinary areas such as mechanical, electrical, computer, and control
  2. Graduating engineers capable of conducting scientific research, designing products and intelligent machines, and developing integrated manufacturing systems
  3. Graduating engineers who are ready to professionally engage with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex problems
  4. Graduating engineers who have the potential of self and continuing learning and who are professionally and ethically committed to their societies
  5. Enhancing partnership relations between the mechanical engineering department and the local industry towards developing it and introducing advanced solution to it

  1. an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics
  2. an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors
  3. an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences
  4. an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts
  5. an ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives
  6. an ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions
  7. an ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.

  1. Industrial plants management, production lines supervision, machine automation and maintenance, and quality assurance
  2. Machine and systems design within a research and development setup or directly in the production sector
  3. Designing and surprising the implementation of mechanical systems (HVAC and others) for construction projects
  4. Development and marketing of mechatronic products
  5. Development, programming, and operation of advanced mechatronic technologies such as robots and autonomous systems
  6. Development and operation of modern computer control systems
  7. Development and operation of fourth industrial revolution technologies such as “Industry 4.0”,  internet of things, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence
