This program is based on the study of architecture engineering in general and understanding all its basics. then, delving into the core of interior design and decoration; it allows the student to acquire building design and implementation skills from the beginning of the architectural design until the stage of interior design and decoration; to make the interior and exterior design more related.

In addition to engineering basics and various architectural skills, students will obtain a solid understanding and background of interior design concepts, principles and their application in a professional environment. Through hands-on experience and classroom learning, students will be able to hone their analytical and creative skills, professional values, and visual and oral communication. They will be able to design different buildings that meet the requirements of the users and achieve thermal, visual and acoustics comfort.

After successful completion of the program, the student will have a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering- interior design. This degree takes most people five years, with 167 credit hours, to complete if they are able to devote themselves to full-time study.

  1. Provide a stimulating learning environment where students’ knowledge and understanding of the interior design theoretical background and professional practice will be developed and interrelated.
  2. Develop the concepts of architecture, urbanism and the architecture of the urban landscape for the student.
  3. Develop the student’s capabilities in engineering skills and methods related to interior architecture and decoration, in terms of design and familiarity with materials used for finishing and implementation mechanisms.
  4. The ability to understand the trends and styles of architecture in different historical eras, and use that in critiquing, analyzing and benefiting from modern and contemporary architectural trends, and linking them to the needs of society and technological developments.
  5. Developing the student's thought and knowledge in the field of architectural and urban design.
  6. Develop students’ all-rounded communications, graphic design, visualization and visual arts skills needed to conceptualize, develop and present design ideas and projects that facilitate and enrich the interactive dialogues within the design process of interior spaces and products.
  7. Encourage students to the process of exploration, critical thinking, and creativity skills through a well-balanced and organized academic progression that enables them to solve design and technical problems.
  8. Strengthening the spirit of teamwork among students.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:

  1. Create a wide variety of interior designs for any project from concept stage to completion.
  2. Develop and implement designs through a variety of new and traditional design options.
  3. apply effective design techniques, principles, and theories within individual or group's work.
  4. Learn and apply appropriate design tools and terminology.
  5. Use effective visual communication when completing projects and presentations.
  6. Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments.
  7. Work effectively in a team, create a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  1. Architectural design and interior design for all types of buildings and facilities in the local, regional and international contexts (residential, public, administrative and commercial buildings, health, cultural, and industrial buildings).
  2.  Open spaces design (such as public squares, gardens and open spaces).
  3. Preparing shop drawings for various projects.
  4. Graphic design and visualization and visual arts.
  5. Rehabilitation and development of historical buildings and urban complexes.
