Thanks to significant advancements in multimedia and information technology, we now have the capability to store and edit audio, images, and videos in various ways. This has created a demand for professionals who possess specialized skills and can continuously adapt to the ever-evolving field of multimedia and graphics.

The idea behind introducing the Multimedia/Graphics program at Palestine Polytechnic University was to offer a unique program in the region that combines three disciplines: fine Art, Animation Production, and Multimedia. Additionally, a series of courses were designed to complement the program and align with the needs of the industry and job market. Since its inception, the program committee has been dedicated to enhancing the curriculum, courses, and teaching methods to keep students up to date with the rapid developments in this field.

The program aims to nurture the talents and artistic abilities of its students. It requires that students possess skills in art, drawing, and creativity before entering the program. Therefore, the program strives to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to design various materials. These include advertising designs, website interface design, social media posts, brands, logos, packaging design, and motion graphics.

Furthermore, the program emphasizes teaching students how to create artistic pieces in different forms, ranging from murals to caricatures, using multimedia techniques. The program's new plan focuses on producing animated films of various genres. It also includes a set of courses that prepare students for game development, television production, and digital media.

Admission requirements for the multimedia/graphics program are as follows:

  • The student should possess General Secondary School Certificate (Tawjihi), or its equivalent in any of the recognized general secondary branches approved by the Ministry of Education.
  • The student must have achieved a minimum score of 65 or higher.
  • Students who have completed a community college program and wish to pursue bridging courses are accepted based on the current bridging regulations set by Palestine Polytechnic University and the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
