The Architectural Engineering program, which began teaching in 2003, aims for the preparation of creative architects, who combine between the knowledge and skills of architecture with the knowledge of other engineering disciplines; to develop the built environment and creating high-performance buildings meet the needs of the local community and confirm the Palestinian culture.
The program also works on preparing architectural engineers with the ability of Competition, creativity, thinking-freely, taking responsibility, working in a team, interacting with community issues, and tackle challenges and technological innovations in the planning, designing, constructing and operation of buildings.
After successful completion of the program, the student will have a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering. This degree takes most people five years, with 162 credit hours, to complete if they are able to devote themselves to full-time study.
- Develop the student's abilities to understand and use various tools in the fields of architectural drawing and design.
- Clarify the relationship between architecture and other engineering concepts.
- Developing the concepts of architecture, urbanism and the architecture of the urban landscape among the student and developing his abilities to understand the factors affecting them, as an urban product that follows the renewable needs of society.
- The ability to understand the styles and trends of architecture in different historical eras, and use that in critiquing, analyzing and benefiting from modern and contemporary architectural trends, and linking them to the needs of society and technological developments.
- Developing the student's thought and knowledge in the field of architectural and urban design.
- Providing the student with skills that will help to choose the best construction methods, materials and systems.
- Develop the students’ capability to use the various tools in the field of expression and design.
- Teaching the student, the necessary foundations for preservation and restoration the architectural and urban features.
- Develop the student's ability to produce research and studies about the Palestinian society and communicate with it.
- Strengthening the spirit of teamwork among students.
- Enhance the student's skills in directing, graphic design, and visualization and visual arts.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems by applying engineering skills and principles.

- Apply the presentation tools, methods, techniques and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
- Recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments.
- Work effectively in a team, create a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Acquire new knowledge and apply it as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
- Develop and conduct appropriate experiments, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
- Learn and interact with the contemporary issues.
- Architectural design for all types of buildings and facilities in the local, regional and international contexts (residential, public, administrative and commercial buildings, health, cultural, and industrial buildings)
- Open spaces design (such as public squares, gardens and open spaces).
- Urban planning in all its aspects.
- Preparing shop drawings for various projects.
- Graphic design and visualization and visual arts.
