This program aims to provide mechanical service engineers in buildings with the ability to supervise, install, and maintain cost-effective and energy-efficient building systems, such as: hot and cold water distribution systems, regular and smart lighting, heating, air conditioning, elevators, swimming pools, gas distribution, and other building service systems. The program also includes courses that provide the student with the ability to install smart and modern building systems such as: water heating, refrigeration and air conditioning products, domestic wastewater treatment, control and monitoring systems, and computerized building management systems (BMS). A graduate of this program has the ability to study economic feasibility and prepare bids for mechanical service projects, and the ability to apply creative thinking methods in analyzing problems and making decisions

  • Engineering education in the field of mechanical services engineering in facilities and buildings within international standards and teaching students according to modern applied methods that keep pace with everything new in the technology of applied and craft work in this field.
  • Graduating human cadres and crews that meet local and regional needs in particular and globally in general.
  • Enabling the graduate to know all the details, prepare him, and give him self-confidence so that he is prepared to engage in work immediately after graduation.
  • Contributing to the university’s community service through the program staff providing practical, technical and engineering solutions to problems in the field of services.
  • Activating research and studies at the university in this field and benefiting from the presence of a center for integration with industry on industrial topics related to some imported parts and the possibility of manufacturing them locally.
  • an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  • an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  • an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
  • an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
  • an ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams
  • Installation and maintenance of mechanical service systems in buildings, which include: (air conditioning and cooling, ventilation, heating, plumbing, water, fire extinguishing, cooking and heating gases, medical gases, swimming pools, waterfalls and fountains)
  • Factories, food stores and cold rooms.
  • Hospitals and health centers.
  • Ministries and government departments.
  • Contracting and free business companies.
  • Academic institutions and universities
  • Rehabilitation of the student to complete higher degrees.
  • Gas companies and pharmaceutical factories.
  • Wastewater and waste treatment plants.
  • Agricultural and animal sector.
  • Elevators and electric stairs companies.
  • Marketing companies for devices and parts for mechanical services in general.
  • Occupational safety and health supervisor in directorates, companies, institutions, economic establishments, occupational safety and health centers and environmental protection.
  • Providing technical support to technicians to maintain mechanical service systems in buildings
