Renewable energy has become a globally recognized issue, and its significance is particularly pronounced in Palestine due to limited resources and the Israeli control over them. Given this context, academic focus on renewable energy has intensified, particularly within the Arab region and specifically in Palestine. Currently, academic programs at the bachelor's degree level in the field of renewable energy remain limited, with no comparable program available in the West Bank.

Program Areas:

  1. Designing and operating various energy and renewable energy systems and processes.
  2. Conducting development and scientific research in the fields of energy and renewable energy.
  3. Providing engineering services, including training, planning, management, and maintenance in the energy and renewable energy sectors.
  4. Designing and analyzing electrical transmission and distribution systems.
  5. Conducting economic studies, management, and optimization of energy consumption.
  6. Offering engineering and scientific consulting in the energy and renewable energy fields.

Distinctive Features:

This program represents a significant step for the university in its ongoing commitment to contribute to the availability of skilled professionals, practical experiences, and technical solutions related to the energy situation in Palestine. The global focus on renewable energy makes it a highly relevant issue, and the Hebron governorate, in particular, requires such a program to address the limited local efforts previously made in this field.

  1. Educate qualified renewable energy engineering graduates capable of designing and operating various energy systems and processes.
  2. Enable graduates to pursue postgraduate studies and conduct scientific research.
