This discipline is interested in the practical study of human behavior and human personality. Also, it works to apply theories, rules, and principles of psychology to any topic of human behavior and its various activities. Applied psychology consists of using the knowledge obtained and methods developed by basic psychology to solve everyday problems, increase the quality of life or prepare groups of people work more conveniently. Although applied psychology is a very broad discipline, we can say that this concept refers to the practical side of psychology unlike applied psychology, this science studies behavior and mental processes and so while basic psychology includes disciplines such as social psychology.  In experimental psychology, or developmental psychology, applied psychology applies knowledge obtained from the aforementioned branches, as in clinical psychology, education, or human resources.

  1. Applying the philosophies of education within international foundations and standards and teaching students according to modern applied methods that are based on active education.
  2. Training on solving real problems drawn from the community and related to the urgent local needs of the community.
  3. Contributing to the sustainable development of society by developing and increasing the effectiveness of psychological care.
  4. Serving the local community by providing it with qualified cadres capable of building and developing its institutions and actively participating in its various activities.
  5. Providing society with cadres capable of dealing with contemporary problems facing it in areas related to specialization and contributing to solving them.
  6. Contributing to achieve communication and integration between higher education institutions and the local community in its various sectors.
  7. Contributing to the development and promotion of the necessary resources for scientific research in areas related to specialization.
  8. Contributing to achieve the development vision at the college and university levels and qualifying the student to play his role in the educational process in a way that is able to interact with the acceleration of times and keep pace with the educational renaissance witnessed by the country and the world.
 
  1. To be familiar with most of the theoretical and applied aspects of applied psychology and the latest scientific findings in this field.
  2. To be able to understand the personality of individuals.
  3. To be able to use the latest applications of applied psychology and methods of solving problems experienced by individuals.
  4. To be able to understand the individual personality, analyze its components, and determine appropriate learning methods for it.
  5. Enlighten students with scientific methods and methods for teaching new behavior.
  6. Recognize the basic principles of psychology in terms of its origins and development.
  7. Identify the psychology of the individual and the group and the factors affecting each individual.
  8. Recognize the various mental and mental illnesses that may affect individuals.
  9. Identify groups of psychological strikes and know the difference between mental illness and mental disorder.
  10. Gain the skill of solving psychological problems.
  11. The ability to apply the concepts of basic psychological theories in an applied and empirical manner.
  12. The ability to apply psychological tests.
  13. Identify the most important events that may cause problems, diseases and psychological disorders.
 
  1. Psychological and educational counselor in schools affiliated to the Ministry of Education and private schools in various psychological institutions.
  2. Hospitals and clinics. Working in hospitals, clinics, and centers that provide assessment services, psychological diagnosis, counseling, treatment and psychological care.
  3. Working with the family in different social environments.
  4. Counseling centers Work with centers specialized in counseling mental disorders and disorders.
  5. The ability to complete postgraduate studies in this field.
  6. Working in marketing and trade companies sometimes through the appointment of specialists or graduates of disciplines related to psychology in the fields of consumer psychology.
  7. Working in private sector companies in human resources departments and fields.
  8. Working in functional areas that require a bachelor’s degree in any discipline such as coordination and supervisory tasks.
